I was TOTALLY going to say that.

I 100% agree, and the female would be the Cancer.

I would say, because Cancer shows femininity, and because the guy was somewhat possessive (Scorpio trait).

When the girl falls in love again, but still cannot forget her love for the original guy (God, I need to remember names!), and then because of her curiosity visits the guy, that there is a total Cancer trait. You are easily back in love with your ex lovers by simple remembrance.

And, Scorpio and Cancer are supposed to be the most passionate of couples.

I agree with her being a cancer and him being an earth sign, capricorn or possibly virgo, he didn't come after her instead he stayed behind and worked on that house to bring her back (did something of service to show his love *virgo trait*) I definatly think he was an earth sign. Allie also could have been an air sign, she was smart, popular, upbeat, funny, charming, and indecisive about who to choose when it came down to noah and Lon.

Edit: This question intrigied me! The notebook is my favorite movie and I also read the book. I was thinking about this question and got the book out to see if it ever mentioned either of their birthdays in it. It didn't, but a few things were brought to my attention. Noah was described in the book as the "dreamer" this would fit with pisces. And if you remember from the movie (and the book), he was very into peotry (walt whitman) to be exact. In the book he did try and track her down once, it led to a dead end as she had moved. I still think he had an earth sign in his chart, probably the sun sign, with the pisces being his moon. As for Allie, I'm pretty sure she was either a libra or a gemini (being the socialite) and fitting the air sign traits I listed in my earlier post, and most likely had a cancer moon.

She was definitely a Cancer.  Him? That's tricky.  I think he behaved more like an earth sign. Possibly Capricorn.  She brought all his passion out.  There is no way that a water sign male would have been able to bury his feelings like that and simply work on building a house after losing the love of his life.  A Capricorn male could. Earth signs can push on, water signs can end up in a coma. LOL
