If you were to create a comic strip how could you get it in the detroit sunday newspaper?

i was making a comic strip and i called the detroit free press and it said some one had to look at it first please help explain this because i don't understand tell me how i can get my comic in the paper ????????

You need to approach a print syndicate. A Syndicate will act as an agent for you and your comic strip. Usually a syndicate will screen all comic strips sent to them and only pick up titles that they believe will be picked up by newspapers.

You have to mail it into the publisher. They decide what gets in the paper.
