  1. Looks, upbringing, race, social skills and confidence.

It doesn't hurt to have a really well adjusted personality and enough money to have what you need.

  2. You didn't mention grit,  determination and perseverance coupled with luck (being in right place at right time,  if you please!)...which more often than not over-ride all the qualities you mentioned above.

  3. Intelligence mixed with functional confidence.

The others help, but aren't as essential.

Note: For women, in many cultural circumstances, it's 1&2.

  4. " 'Your face is your fortune', so some wise man spoke.  My face is my fortune, that's why I'm totally broke!"

To completely generalize "Why?" - Because things come easier to the people who are attractive, or at least average-looking.  First appearances mean a lot, no matter how much you try to tell yourself that you're a bigger person than that.  They can get away with things that others can't.  Also, it's easier to make eye contact with a more attractive person, thereby making converstaion easier.

  5. 5

intelligence makes world goes round ^^

if you are a beauty but stupid...will you have a good fortune??

    no I don't think so

  6. Their intelligence.

    Because with intelligence

1/ they can do something to improve their appearance

    2. the same as above

    3. the same as above....of above!!

    4. the can chose to emigrate!

    5. it all depends on this.

  7. their attitude towards life. Many things may feel like fortune to me but is not the same for everyone.

  8. other peoples misfortunes

  9. None of these is necessarily the determinant, yet any of them could be a large factor for an individual. A pretty young girl working at a store is noticed by someone from the film industry/modeling agency -that could determine her fortune. A young man grows to be 7 feet tall and is seen by a school recruiter -that could determine his fortune. Ultimately, any of the choices listed could help/hinder someones fortunes -but the circumstances need to be right.

  10. To me it depends how you view what is a fortune. Down here on this planet I don't seek monetary fortune and riches. I'm storing my treasures in heaven. Most people are grown up into wealth nowadays being given everything to achieve greater fortune. Only my opinion in this matter.

  11. All of them, because they are prety much what the world today views as perfection and that is one of our aims in life, to strive for perfection. A good appearance, beautiful face, an acceptable size with great intelligence and a nationality that everyone has respect for.

  12. I assume you mean as in standing in life. None of the above. Some of the most successful people share many contradictory characteristics. None of which had a direct bearing on their success.

  13. ...by the beauty or ugliness of their face...first impression...rules...

  14. Appearance is sort of broken up in 2 and 3.

Nationality (country of origin) doesn't matter, but the country you are currently in does.  If you aren't born rich in China or Africa, you won't be rich.  Many people from all nationalities come from nothing in America and make it rich.

Appearance/size/face is probably important, but more of an obstacle than a determining factor.  You can be fat or ugly and be successful.

I don't know about intelligence, I assume it helps.

The biggest factor is energy level/enthusiasm, optimism, never giving up.  As long as you don't quit climbing the ladder, you will always be getting higher !!!
