Well, I'd approach with caution then gague my reaction based on its behaviour towards me.

If it just cast two circles of light over me and spoke in a really deep voice, I'd get the h**l out of there.

Do you mean going into outer space and meeting an "alien"? In any event- try to communicate. But remember you would also be an "alien".

I would freak out, call 911. Then I try to throw something at it just to see if it would shoot or harm it and if it didn't try to kill me try to make peace or communicate. Now if was really cool looking I'd take pictures of it and put it on MySpace.
