i have had a feeling for the past few years that the NBA and the NFL were fixed, and that feeling became a belief after the NFL season and especially after the NBA playoffs championship and the superbowl the pats-eagles game was fixed, the pats-ravens game was fixed, the celtics-cavs series were fixed the celtics-pistons were fixed the finals were fixed and the superbowl was fixed, anybody else seen this pattern of ref bias?

  1. The truth would be more than most Americans could take :) Think about it ... how hard would it be for a pro player to "slip up" during a game thereby causing a few points to slip by one way or the other?

Just my 2 cents ~ Jeff

  2. If it wsn't for the gambling pro sports would disappear. Of course its fixed,

  3. you bet ye they are.

  4. ya iv thought that from time to time

  5. My usual answer is: if pro sports were fixed, they would do a better job of it.

Who would fix that many results? The league, assumably, in an attempt to get better outcomes. OK. What NBA team has won more titles than any other in the past decade? The San Antonio Spurs. What NBA team has been a laughing stock? The New York Knicks. The NFL would fix games so that the Jets would win more often. The NHL would want the Rangers and Maple Leafs to win more. MLB wouldn't mind a Cubs' championship less than 100 years apart.

If referees were going to fix games, they would take them when no one was looking, more or less. The current NBA scandal was something of a reflection of that. Why would you fix three rounds of playoff games? Don't you think someone would notice?

The amount of money made by pro athletes these days helps reduce the chances of such problems; the officials are an obvious weak point.

  6. No, no, it's a lie.... NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
