If you were to solve a world issue, which would it be and how would you do it?

I'd go with education or poverty. How about you?

(Just looking for ideas for a MUN [Model United Nations] essay I have to do.)

  1. Organise armed resistance to government sponsored  'Janjaweed' marauders and protect the campers forced into refugee camps. Eventually 'Darfur' region needs to be kept separate from Sudan as Sudan lost all moral right to claim Darfur as part of Sudan. Fate of Darfur whether it would remain as a seaparate country or join  'Chad' may have to be decided. A million people crying for succour brooks no delay.

  2. I would feed people, with food.  We have a surplus of food in the US, and a lot of food gets thrown out.  People cannot help themselves if they are hungry, so I would start with that.

  3. I'd cure autism.

  4. I would go with Islamic Extremist terrorists, but that is a huge and deep subject.

I would solve the problem, by bombing Mecca.. JUST KIDDING.

Seriously, I would start solving the problem by dropping a bunker buster in Tora Bora region of Pakistan / Afghanistan to kill Osama binLaden.

  5. Redistribution of wealth by heavily taxing the rich: 70% on income, capital gains, and estate for anyone making over $1,000,000 per year, and using that money to reduce poverty through universal, as in worldwide, health care and education.  On a side note, I don't know how much extracarricular reading you're up for, but there's a really good book: Common Wealth, by Jeffrey Sachs that addresses many of the toughest global issues facing our (and all other) species.  The idea for the 70% tax is not in the book.  That idea is mine.

  6. Too many people on this planet are unarmed.

  7. the money issue, solution, freeze the world money for   5  years, so that the world currency is worth some money

  8. Education or poverty... fix education and povery usually goes away.

  9. pick something relatively small. like invisible children in Uganda. there;s a civil war there and a rebel group is kidnapping children and turning them into child soldiers. you should spread awareness through documentaries and tv specials. raise money and prevent these things from happening

education and poverty are TOO big for you to tackle in a school essay.
