  1. id get a tin of beans and a d***o,

if she dont want the beans, she can go and fook herself

  2. gnocchi gorgonzola, red wine, tiramisu to finish

  3. Hamburger helper or some spaghetti with some french or garlic bread.  It's very simple and the instructions are on the back.

  4. Spaghetti bolognese is easy to make and is delicious and gives the evening a hint of the continental - ah, Roma!

Use (at least 4 helpings, reduce if necessary):

    55g/2oz streaky bacon, diced

120ml/4fl oz good olive oil or rapeseed

    1 onion, finely diced

    1 stick celery, finely diced

    1 carrot, finely diced

2 garlic cloves, crushed with a little salt

    400g/14oz can chopped tomatoes

    1 tbsp tomato purée

    1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    900g/2lb minced beef

    Glass of dry red wine

1 litre/1¾ pint chicken, beef or lamb stock (cubes)

    450g/1lb dried spaghetti

    salt and ground black pepper

Most of the ingredients are probably in your kitchen already. Mince beef is cheap and you can use the rest of the wine for the meal.

    1. In a large, heavy-based pan, fry the bacon in 2 tbsp of the olive oil. When the bacon is crispy and has released some natural fats, add the onion, celery, carrot, garlic and cook over a medium heat until the vegetables have softened and taken on a little colour.

    2. Add the canned tomatoes, the tomato purée and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine.

    3. Meanwhile, in a large frying pan, heat another 2 tbsp of the olive oil and fry the mince in small batches until browned. While the meat is frying, break up any lumps with the back of a wooden spoon. Repeat until all the mince is browned. Drain off any fat and add to the tomato mixture.

    4. Pour wine and the stock into the tomato and meat mixture. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer, stirring from time to time, for about 2 hours. Season to taste. If the liquid reduces too much, top up with water. When the meat is tender allow to cool, then chill.

    5. When cold, lift off the solidified fat and discard.

    6. Cook the spaghetti in plenty of boiling water with a tablespoon of olive oil and heat the sauce. When the pasta is cooked and the sauce heated through, serve the pasta with the sauce on top.

Put on some Italian music, softly. Try eating a strand of spaghetti together, starting at both ends.

  5. Prawn cocktail (prawns, lettuce & dressing), spaghetti bolognese (mince, pasta & sauce) with garlic bread and a cheesecake (buy it) for dessert. Should have enough left over from a tenner to get a cheap bottle of wine too!

  6. beans on toast....

  7. Spaghetti with meatsauce and a bottle of red wine.

  8. 1 Punnet strawberries,  1 Large bar of Cadbury Milk Choc melted,  1 Tub of Madagascan Cream  'Marks & Spencer'.  Just dip and enjoy.  The food of love.

  9. crab sticks 4 starters skip the main course strawberry's and cream for desert

  10. two pints of lager and a packed of crisps

  11. Gotta be spag bol and garlic bread with a cheap bottle of plonk!! Oh and a romantic candle.

  12. chicken stir fry and a nice bottle of blossom hill white wine! yum!

  13. 2 pot noodles and 8 cans of Breakers

  14. A NICE full Breakfast, washed down with a few beers.

  15. I would prepare a spaghetti dish with garlic bread and a nice spinach salad.  There is nothing more romantic than a red checked table cloth, candles, and a delicious Italian meal.

  16. I love spaghetti, but I am afraid it will not be very romantic unless you know the lady very well. If you want romance you have to feel comfortable eating without being self conscious.

First make the room comfortable, with no chill in the air, warmth is important.  Music that you both can listen to without squinting your nose or getting a headache. Candles are nice but save them for during dinner with other lighting so you don't look like you're trying too hard.

Ask her to help with preparing the meal because this could be fun if she likes to cook.Because here is my suggestion for a great meal.

Tell her you plan to make a Mexican chile or an Indian curry if you like.

Then keep it simple. if you need a recipe, ask here.

Make it up as you go along and see if you can soften the atmosphere with some laughter to get rid of the first round of nerves.  You have been romantic here without even letting on you are. She will know, trust me. Romance is easy not a difficult job wondering what to do. You are either romantic or you are not, simple as that.

Romance is also spontanious, with both people being involved in the process.

That's how I would do it.

  17. A rocket and parmesan salad, linguine with a cherry tomato and basil sauce, baked apple with mascarpone.  Should even be some change for a bottle of wine.

  18. cook pasta (about 50p)as on packet any shape you fancy buying, heat a jar of carbonara sauce (about £1.19) in a pan whilst frying a couple of rashers of unsmoked bacon (deli in supermarket or butchers for just 2 ) about 50p,  drain the pasta and mix the bacon into the sauce when cooked and stir into the pasta , mix altogether and stick it on the fanciest plates you have. If you fancy buy a garlic baguette £1.00 to go with it.

should be on about £3.20 by now,

You can buy a white wine for about £3.00  leaving you about 4 quid for a pudding try m&s for luxury individual ones like tirimasu ( spelt something like that anyway!) or a supermarket extra special one ,

If the tenner does not have to include a wine then add a nice fresh soup from the fridge in supermarket as a starter with a bread roll,

any remaining money then get a couple of candles and nick some serviettes of someone you know so your date is amazed you have thought of everything.

P.S shouldn,t make too much washing up either.

Hope you have a great dinner

    Louise.

  19. I suppose the only place you can get a £10 romantic dinner is in the dump (£10's for the entrance fee)
