  1. i went on google earth, and stood on top of everest, and the horizon was approximately 350km away, which seems really far if you ask me

whether you would be able to see through all the atmosphere right to the horizon i probably doubt it

  2. Can you see the sun? It's 93 million miles away!

  3. There is an equation which tells you  how far the horizon is at any given elevation . But I do not have it handy. Sorry

  4. Let's put it another way. You can see all the way to the horizon if there isn't some darn mountain in the way!!

  5. You could see the curvature of the earth in fact...because you are on top of the highest point in the world.

  6. Australia

But seriously, you can see the remainder of the Himalayas, but not much further, considering the span so far. So in summary, you may be able to see China, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet.

  7. Well you can see the Sun which is 93m miles away and even to the stars which are billions of light years away.

But you can see all that too in Langley Mill in Nottinghamshire in England, without going to all that trouble, getting out of breath and all.
