That work in the energy field ,one being halliburton and the other being exxon mobile, i realize halliburton may offer many different job types and maybe the same could be said for exxon-m, but for the long haul which company could offer the most return for your years of service working for them, or who do you feel would take the best care of you over a 20 year employment term given you worked hard in your service to the company , money /family time/ benifits/retirement funds/profit share's??? thanks for your time.

  1. i have never heard of halliburton before

but it dpends on the job that you will get, and you will ask them for information, we are just guessing here, it won't be accurate at all

  2. Both companies offer plenty of opportunity.  And It all depends on just what job you were doing.... but in the end.... you have to ask yourself are money and benefits worth your morals,  because both companies have major ethical issues!

  3. I wouldn't count on either of these companies to 'take care of me' in retirement, or even over such a long career. Especially these days, people will think you simply can't get a better offer elsewhere if you stay so long. Don't rely on any one company because they won't give you the same loyalty. Build up your experience and then go to whoever treats you the best.

  4. Both companies provide opportunity to advance for those who are smart and hard working.  In what respect do you think these corporations are different from each other?

  5. Unfortunately, a young person today should not plan on working for a company long enough to retire, unless it is a government, state, county or municipality job.  Private industry does not seem to value experience or loyalty as they did 20 or 30 years ago.  Also, the more you give, the more larger corporations will take.  They  may pay better, especially with benefits and perks; but there is no more stability in them than in a small Mom and Pop company!  And in the long run, the smaller company is more beneficial because you are not just a number and would probably derive more satisfaction from that scenario.  Good luck and God bless.

  6. I would never consider either.  They are both manifestations of the most evil side of capitalism and environmental destruction.
