i was told to save my losing lottery tickets then the amount can be deducted from the taxes your have to pay on those winnings. But someone else said you have to be a registered gambler to do this .I only spend between $7 and $15 dollars a week does that constitute a gambler ?My sister spends about $5 dollars a week is she considered a gambler?

  1. Believe it or not, you can.  Go to H&R Block's website and ask them how.  I couldn't believe it, when they told my husband he could deduct the $310 he lost playing the Texas Lotto.  If what you say is true and you spend no more than $15 per week, that's really about average.  My husband spends about that much too.  Now if you're neglecting paying bills to gamble, then I'd say you have a problem, if not, I think you're fine.
