If you witnessed a hit-and-run, would you help the victim?

yeah, it seems like an obvious question, but after seeing this video...it kind of makes me angry that no one was there to help the poor guy out. The victim is a 78 yr old man who is now paralyzed. I'm an EMT so I know I would be there on a dime...if I was walking by or if I was in a car. But I want to know what everyone else thinks, and give some sort of explanation as to why these guys didn't do anything.

i would stop and help.  well, i dont know cpr or anything, so I would at least call 911 and try to stop some bleeding or something.

people don't usually help because they have the 'oh someone else will help' mentallity.  people are so jaded these days.

I would of help as much as possible and as to why no one helped, from watching the video nobody wanted to get involved or they seem to be to busy but the one thing that I cannot explain is the on driver that drove around him, that person should be charged for failure to stop and render help.....

I would stop and call the police. Since I am not trained in EMT I would not want to risk injuring the patient more. I am untentially cause more damage by trying to move the victim.

Also todays world is different. recently a man saved another at a restrount chocking and he turned around and sued him for breaking him ribs while saving his life.

Nope.

People live and die all the time.

Sure, the politically correct and morally responsible answer is to help the person.

But my morals also tell me that I have the freedom of choice. Including the choice to not help.

So oh well.

And before anyone retorts that I would want help when I'm injured....sorry...been injured, didn't mind that people weren't helping. Not everyone is the helping kind. That's just how it goes.

Yes, I would help because that could be someones mother,farther, sister, anybody.
