If you won a 89 million dollar lottery. What would you do first??

I'd wait a couple of weeks to see how many tickets matched the winning numbers to make sure mine was the ONLY one.

During that time, I'd be packing up my stuff and putting it in storage and move out.

Then, when I collect the money, by the time they print my name in the paper, my butt will be long gone from here and living in peace following my dreams.

After fainting!! and waking up, I would help family and friends!! put some aside for all the grandkids, but I would have to do something different, because if the dem. gets in 1/2 of it would be gone!! I would have to find a good tax attorney!!!! thats for sure!! I would figure a way to do it!!!!!

See a financial adviser (to get the money invested), a lawyer to set up a trust and a will, my Realtor to sell my house, see my boss so I can fire him, then go to the airport to take the next flight out!

I would get myself out of debt...  then I would sort out my immediately family members and (very) close friends and get them out of debt as well.

I would definitely invest a large amount into low-risk investments like T-bills or bonds, something that isn't going to go ****-up if a market crashes or dips.

I would also donate a fair amount to my alma mater to get a building or street named after me.  I'd want some sort of legacy to have after I'm croaked.

Then I'd move to the top of a casino and be a total recluse a la Howard Hughes.  All that money and all that attention would almost certainly drive me mental.

First I'd pay off all debts. Then I'd put some money in a saving account (a million should be enough hopefully).

After that, I would start looking into what kind of new technologies or so is coming up. I'd probably try to make my way into those things, buy myself a nice suit to look presentable in. I would donate at least 10% of that to charity, and then try making a start-up based on the new technology. The new technology would probably be next generation biofuels, deep-sea exploration, or transportation.

I'll definitely get my dream house and car. At least 30% will be in a fixed deposit to ensure that there is enough to take care of my family. About 20% will be in investment and 10% will go to charity (not forgetting the poor) .
