  1. Most likely around $50-75K for the wedding, I would want to go all out with the party and drink. We both have large families all over the country and in Mexico so I would love to be able to pay for them to make it in. Then maybe around $10k for an all out honeymoon in Europe, we had wanted to do a Mediterranean cruise before but it was too expensive. If we had a million, we would probably spend it on a nice home and into savings

  2. No more than 10 grand.  I'd like to be able to pay our house off (which is about 120 grand left)and get some new vehicles.  I also know my fiance would like to get new paint jobs on his 2 show cars lol thats like 5 grand a piece.

I'd say we'd take a nice expensive honeymoon, but my future father in law is giving us a 10 day in cabo.

  3. I've been married twice. The first time, I was 19 and my husband was 21.  We spent our own money on a lavish wedding and a very simple honeymoon.

When I married the second time, I was 28 and my husband was 23.  We went to a Justice of the Peace, and then took a beautiful trip for our honeymoon.

What I found is that for the first scenario, you end up spending a great deal of money for a lot of people to have a good time at your expense.

In the second scenario, we enjoyed ourselves tremendously and got the 'newly married' time away that a honeymoon is supposed to represent.

If I had it to do over again, I would NEVER spend buko-bucks on a lavish wedding!

And if I won $1M, I would probably go on a trip around the world for my honeymoon...

Btw, my first marriage dissolved after 5 years because I was physically abused.

  4. i would probobly spend about 30,000.00 that would be how much i might end up spending anyway.it is expensive in ny especially when you have a big italian family lol

  5. Whatever is left after the school is paid off, the cars paid off, the house paid off, my mom taken care of for life, my bro taken care of, my friends given chunks, a library built in my best friend's name and some invested for the future. That being said, probably not much. I wouldn't spend really much more than we're spending now because so far we've gotten everything the way we wanted.

  6. i'd spend the same amount I did already, about 7-8k. Then I'd buy a house! No point in spending a ton of money on a wedding when it's just one day, the marriage is what lasts and why not buy a house and have no debt to spend your marriage in...

#1 thing couples divorce over is money..so put it to good use :)

  7. Do I get the million after taxes?

  8. Probably $60,000.

  9. Hmmm...well, probably a little bit more than we are spending now. I don't know, including honeymoon, $50,000? It is so hard to say. Maybe more only because I might offer to pay for some hotel accomodations, etc, for some of my guests.

  10. 100 K Wedding

    100 K Honeymoon

    100 K My new BMW 7 Series!!!!!

    200 K Stock and Savings

500 K Pay off our house

  11. You know what I'd do if I won a million dollars?

Two chicks at the same time!

  12. 1.00 is all i would spend because  weddings are not worth the money when you could be spending it on something more important like a new home or on nessities you need for living

  13. We would spend the same as what we spent on our actual wedding. And we would invest the rest.

  14. None.Ive been married for 23 yrs and we did it in front of his aunt (she married us)and had a piece of left over cake from the wedding before us..and we are still together.

My cousin spent over 20,.000 on his over 20 yrs ago and they divorced within 5 yrs.

Take the money put in investments or your home in which you will enjoy everyday of your life w him.

  15. $100.00

  16. I wouldn't change a single thing that I'm doing with the wedding.  We might splurge a bit more on the honeymoon, but we wouldn't change too much.  For the most part it would just buy a modest home and go into investments for retirement.

    Best wishes!!!!

  17. Of the million dollars? Not a red cent. We're not having anything we can't currently afford at our wedding, and we're going by "what's the minimum we can do and still honour our guests". I can think of much better uses for that money then throwing a party.

Ok, I lie. I might increase the honouraria for our officiants.

  18. maybe 20K on honeymoona dn wedding.

  19. I want a wedding at Disneyland which is about 45k-50k. and the honeymoon I want is another 20k. The rest I'd put into a house and save for the kids.

  20. Wow great question!  The only thing I would do differently with my current wedding is have a nice seated dinner and a full open bar, which would cost us about $5000 more than we are already spending.  We are looking at $15,000, so if we had extra money we would probably spend a total of $20,000.  He has a huge family so it was really hard to stay under $10,000 like we wanted in the beginning of our planning.  I would invest a chunk of the remaining money, buy a house, and plan a fabulous honeymoon traveling the world.

  21. 1.Usually bride's family plan for the wedding.   2.If some one already married what then?

  22. Whatever it cost to fly my friends and family to Jamaica and have an awesome wedding!

  23. $3K to $5K, max.  I prefer an intimate ceremony to a big shindig.

  24. I'd spend the same amount we spent without the million dollars.

If I won that much money, I would rather save a large chunk of it after paying off my bills and buying a new house/car (not just because of the money but because we actually need these things right now!) I would set aside some for "fun" things though - like traveling!

  25. I'd spend no more than $10K, and spend another $5K on a killer honeymoon, then drop a BIG chunk into a house to come home to!

  26. 15K maybe?  We want something simple yet nice. With a budget of 8-10 it's a pain in my butt because we CANNOT find a ceremony venue!!

I'd then of course buy a house with the majority of it. Unfortunately here in MA, a simple house will run you about 400,000....and the nicer ones of course are even more. There are lot of million dollar homes around here, and they're not even fancy or anything! It's nuts.

  27. The same amount I'm spending now 10k, which since its over 2 years it doesn't hurt so much.

  28. Maybe 10k at most on the wedding, and then a big big chunk on an amazing European honeymoon.

  29. 0... lol i know am cheep
