If you work in a casino in Las Vegas, can you gamble at other casinos?

How does it work in Las Vegas. If you work in one casino, can you play at others? What about casinos that are linked thru their players club such as Total Rewards, if I worked at Ballys could I play at Caesars. Thanks

I can't speak for LV, but in Atlantic City you're allowed to gamble at casinos not owned by your parent company...I'd assume the same rules apply in LV.

yes you can. i work for Harrah's   and can gamble anywhere  except my home casino .

The short answer is, yes.

I do not give short answers.  

It depends on which company you work for and what job you have.  If you work in surveillance you should not be playing any table games in any casino.  If you are a dealer for a large corporation they may (depending on which organization) prohibit you from playing table games in other casinos they own.  The example is Boyd group, which allows dealers to play table games in other Boyd casinos, but not in the same cluster.  Some casinos allow their dealers to play slot machines in the casino when they are on break.  Others do not even want employees on the  property when they are off duty.  Slot department employees can play tables but not slots where they work.  Accounting and audit personnel cannot play at any game at any casino in the family of casinos they work for.  

Policies vary from one company to another.  

Even if you were permitted to play at a sister property, it would be a bad idea.  Word gets back to your supervisor if you misbehave or get drunk.  It is better to take your action to another store.

It's going to depend on the company policy of the casino you work at.  But I've not heard of anyone I know who works in Vegas being told they can't play in other casinos during their off hours.
