  1. If you wrote on it with your finger, all it needs is a good polish after soaping down the area you fingered (hehe).  I can't imagine it having messed up his paint though, to be honest.

If you wrote on it with a pen and it screwed the paint up, though... well... yeah, that's probably a pro detailer or paint shop's realm.

  2. maybe a good buffing would clean it and reeally you never write on cars if there is any dirt you can and will mess the paint up

  3. Did you use your fingers or a pen? If it was with your finger, you can polish it out without using machinery; resort to compounding as a last resort because it is extremely aggressive and removes unnecessary amounts of clear coat and paint. First clean the region using a 50/50 (alcohol/water) solution. Next on a microfiber cloth or if you have available a foam polish applicator apply polish and beginning buffing it out; you must use a lot of pressure to successfully remove scratches when working by hand. Afterwards clean again with the 50/50 and you're done; that's of course if you do not want to spend the time and money on wax.

If you can purchase Menzerna Super Intensive Polish, if you can't try Meguiar's ScratchX.

If it is a deep scratch, if you can feel it with your fingernails, you cannot polish/compound it out. But you can purchase touch up paint and clear coat to take care of the area; i doubt it is this severe though.

  4. Your finger on three year old paint will not damage it unless you gouged it with your finger nail.

A light rubbing compound will take it right off.

These cars have a clear coat finish.  At worst he will need it buffed.  Not a big deal.

  5. just wash the car and wax it. the wax should bring it off.
