  1. Pick up the current copy of "Poets Market", which if unavailable at your local library, should be available at your local store (if not, it can be ordered and you'll get it rather quickly).  This is probably the single best source of publishers (that's why it was created).  It tells you what kind of poetry they're looking for, how to submit the poem, how to write letters of introduction, where to send them, points of contact, etc.  If you really want to get your poems into print, there is probably no better place to start looking.


  2. You have to start off small, it's the only way to climb the ladder - send them to as many people as possiable, people you know and the like. Start sending them to you're local newspaper, see about getting them in local or regional magazines (like The Big Issue). Michel Rosen gives some good pointers in this interview;

  3. To get published? I'm not totally sure but I think you can share  and read other people's at Poetry.com.

  4. try your library they usually have poetry contests and things like that.....

    as for publishing you have to pay money to get them published
