Her crib is already at it's lowest setting, so we can't just raise the rails for her. She's also not trustworthy to get a toddler bed for. She'll just get up and roam around...

  1. had the same problem, I had NO choice but to go for toddler bed as I nearly died when I saw my little girl throwing herself out the cot head first!!  I put a baby gate on the bedroom door and just made sure the room was totally childproof! You can also buy pressure pads for the floor that alarm if little unwanted feet start wandering!

  2. hmmm thats a tough one..best you can do is put an extra mattress on the floor so when she does jump out she doesn't get hurt. I would normally suggest a toddler bed but you already said she would just get up and roam. Not much you can do. Good luck :)

  3. I'd put her into a toddler bed.

  4. Yes, I agree with 1 and 2 answers above. At this stage of the game- all you can do is to "make it safe".

If its not done already-- make your home "child proof". Fix it where she can not get outside, can't reach the stove controls, or sharp objects like scissors, knives, and so on.

  5. Grease the poles.  That'll keep her in!

  6. its time for a bed or at the very least a mattress on the floor, i got my daughter a twin size bed for her first birthday and a child gate for her room along with all the plug covers and even went so far as to remove her closet door so she wont get her fingers jammed if she plays by the door. toddler beds are great because they are low to the floor and the child shouldn't get hurt if they jump/fall out. the only bad part is that they wont last for more than a year or two depending on how big your child is, here is the type of bed i got for my daughter, its low to the ground and can be extended out to a full twin size bed or made to be short like a toddler bed, and fits a regular twin size mattress
