  1. If you have an electrical item, then the sale of goods act states that if the product is 12months old or less, and it is faulty, then you can take it back to the retailer, and they must offer you a repair or replacement, bu LAW.

  2. Go back to where you bought it with the receipt, the console and all peripherals and ask for a replacement. You're definitely entitled to one if it didn't work for you.

  3. Depends on where you bought it and if it is still under guarantee. Some places will send it away for repair but others will just replace. Go and ask them.

  4. Where did you buy it from and how long have you had it?

If it is still under warranty because you bought it recently from a big shop then you'll be fine, take it back for it to be fixed or replaced.

If you bought it second-hand or if it's more than 12 months old you'll have to pay, either to get it fixed or to buy a new one.
