  1. She' sgetting a little over 10 dollars an hour

if she feeds them then no

But if she is only doing the job of sitting then she is being payed too much to be a babysitter and just calling her self a nanny

  2. I think that's a decent amount considering you take them to her house. She is basically babysitting them, and if it's $70, that's $35 per kid, and then considering it's about 6 hours, that means that it's less than $6 an hour.  If I were taking care of children in my home I'd charge $5-10/hour per child depending on the individual children, how I met them, and how long I would be watching them in total. I usually did living-in nanny/au pair work, in which case it was understandable to be paid less, because the family was paying for room and board, however also with that I was doing other minor house work that the family wanted.

  3. Is she really good with the kids?  Is it worth it? How old is she?  (Younger gets less)  I think it's mostly ok, maybe you could  lower it by 10 bucks, and pay 10/hour.

  4. yea..........unless she would pick them up and feed them

  5. yes that is way too much. Is she licenced? The most she should charge to watch them at her home is $5.00 per child per hour and that is on the high side if she is feeding them from her fridge. If you bring their food she should only charge about $3.00 per child, per hour.

You should probably be paying her about $36-$40 total.

I have been a nanny for several families and the cost is always higher if the nanny comes to your home. If you bring your child to their home, you pay less. A nanny coming to your home could easily charge $10-$12 per hour because of the convenience to you however you are bringing them there so you pay less.

if someone is watching children in their home they should be licenced. If she can have up to 6 kids and she charges $3.00 each and has some full time, that can add up to a full income. She would be getting over $100 from each family etc... If your children are the only ones she has that is not your problem. If she wants to make this her living she should get licenced and take on more children, not over charge the one parent she has.

  6. I used to babysit for a family, and earnt £6 ($12) an hour. It's perfectly reasonable!

  7. That is way to much i would say lower the price 2 $5.00 per hour so you are only payng $30.00 for the 2 day much more reasable(SP)
