If your a coke addict and you do coke while yu r pregnant, once your baby is born does tht make it an addict?

yeah and he or she will be a coke baby that goes through so much **** its unreal that **** is very stupid and selfish and whoever does this should NEVER have a baby, and needs to grow up because if they cant put the baby first while its in the womb than that poor baby will NEVER be put first and that is what a parent ALWAYS does is put the child first!!!!

What ends up happening is that baby is going to go through withdrawls just as adult would in rehab.

It can be very dangerous and the child could possibly die.

have you not heard of a coke baby before?  not only does the baby come out with withdrawl symptomes but it may also come out deformed, mentally disabled or physically disabled.  dumb question moving on!

Yes your baby comes out addicted and just and FYI any child born with drugs in its system automatically goes to Child Protective Serves / Department Of Child and Family Services CPS, DCFS

Yeah. havent you heard of a crack baby, or a herion baby? its the same thing. I would always see these poor babies in the nursery at my work, crying like thier life was over....its because they were going through withdrawels. i live in an area where theres a lot of methheads and what the babies go through is horrible...theyre usually super tiny, really really red, born early and shaking and crying, if they can cry at all...a lot of them are intubated, its so sad.

YES. If you are a coke addict you should not bring a child into the world. If a coke addict wants to ruin their own life that is fine but the child is innocent they didn't chose to use drugs they were brought into the world addicted.

If you do coke while your are pregnant your infant will be a coke addict when it is born and the doctors will know because they do a drug test when the baby is born.  The baby will be taken away and given to CPS and will be put on a detox drug or they may just let it go through the withdrawals.  Its very sad.

Please tell me you're not still doing coke if you're pregnant!!!  If you are still doing coke while pregnant, I have no words to explain how selfish and stupid you are being.  I just wish there was a law that if you refuse to stop doing coke to have your tubes tied.  You should not be able to get pregnant and most definitely you should not be allow to prent a cat much less a child.  If you stopped doing coke once you found out, good for you and talk to your doctor.  No one on here is going ot be able to give you a reasonble answer.

Yes your baby can be born addicted to coke. It will go through withdrawls just the same as you would and can have very serious health and mental problem. The withdrawls themselves can cause the baby to have seizures and even die.  How can anyone put there child through that. Also if a baby is born addicted to something then CPS can step in and take the child away.

yes. it happened to my cousin. she was born addicted to crack. she was in hospital for a LONG time. but now, she's an adult, about to get married and the only problems she has are some vision problems. however, her sister was not as lucky and she's 23 with severe mental problems

Yes, as far I know (not a expert) your baby would be addicted, chances are the baby would also be taken from the mother.

When the baby is born it will go through severe withdrawal.  He/she will experience the same torture as any adult, the baby just can tell you how it feels.  If you or someone you know is pregnant and addicted to drugs please seek help.
