  1. The people saying "Mod Podge" and "Decopauge" are correct! It's the same stuff that is in the bottles of "puzzle saver". It leaves a stiff shiny coating when it dries, but it isn't water proof. It's basically thinned out white glue, so if it gets wet, it will get all gluey again. Try using a sponge paint brush to apply it and let it dry. For a really cool effect, apply a second coat, this time sweeping the brush aroun in swirls... leaves a really cool painting effect! Looks like brush strokes. We did this for a really cool fairy poster we put together (My teen daughter and I) and hung it on her wall. It looks really nice!!! Have fun!!!

  2. *raises hand as a craft addict* lol

I did this when I was in high school.  It could actually be done with your normal Elmer's CLEAR school glue. (emphasis on clear)  It doesn't look WONDERFUL but it does the job.

But if you're looking for a higher quality seal, I reccomend Aleene's Instant Decoupage Sealer Gloss.

The stuff is wonderful.  Lasts forever, I swear by it.  I'll post a link to it below in the sources. (Good price on it too, it's normally $6.50)

  3. Maybe she used  Krylon GLOSS UV-Resistant Acrylic Coating.

  4. it was probably something called "Mod-Podge" get it at any craft store. about 5 dollars a bottlle, its for a craft called "decopauge" (sp?) its exaclty what your friend did. its basically jsut a really watery glue/paste :-) You can use it on almost anything! candles, boxes, wood, plasic..

but if you dont want to spend the money just make your own!

1 small bottle of white elmers glue

    2-4 Tablespoons of water

    mix well, paint over craft

  5. use glaze or.. hey if you want to make the paper hard try whiteglue with watter get an amount of glue amd take the same amount of water or maybe a bit less and pour it on with a brush and spread it out good make it so wet that its poring glue and what a day and itl be hard and give  some glaze or just glue white glue

  6. Go see what FEVICOL is. It makes it really hard transperent, water proof. and looks like this glass paint.
