if your a minor and is a independent contractor do you need work permit im not sure cause im not consider a employee but a independent contractor

I highly doubt a minor can become a contractor or legally own a business.  You can consider yourself as self employed instead.  you can't be held responsible for anything.  If you work on a job and you and the client have trouble, like not paying, poor work, etc. you can't be held responsible and the client has no way of sueing you etc.  I wouldn't hire anyone as a contractor who is a teenager.   Just work for someone, but they pay you and don't deduct taxes etc. you must look after that yourself.  and it depends on what type of work it is some things require permits, liscences, etc.
