  2. 1.  I am a vegetarian who is slowly going vegan..

    2. I am a veg because of animal cruelty, because of the damage that mass farming does to the environment, and for health reasons.

    3.  My fave vegan recipe so far is this Creamy Artichoke Dip I just made today.  oh.my.god., it's by far better than any artichoke dip I've ever had made with dairy products.  Also, this black bean corn salsa I make a lot is quite yummy with yellow corn chips.

  3. 1. I am Vegetarian

    2. I am Vegetarian for POLITICAL REASONS:  Frances Moore Lappé has argued that global hunger is caused not by the lack of food but rather by the inability of hungry people to gain access to the abundant amount of food that exists in the world... and calls for "living democracy," i.e. not only what we do in the voting booth but through our daily choices of what we buy and how we live.

Meat is inefficient use of food crops/water/fertilizer just as edible bio-fuels are.

    4. I've been a vegetarian for two and a half years, been converting to veganism for a month now. I'm almost there!

    5. I watched zeitgeist (www.zeitgeistmovie.com) and realized how ignorant I am. So i decided to look into every aspect of my life that i had felt I never needed to. That's when I found out how cruel the meat industry is.

    6. It's probably the best decision I have ever made for myself. I think more clearly. I am in better shape. I never get sick; not once in the past two and a half years. And my concious feels better knowing that I help animals everyday.

And thank you! I loved answering this question. =]

    4. I was a vegetarian for about 2 years before I became vegan. Been vegan for nearly a year.

    5. I've always wanted to since I was a small child, but I still remember the second I made my decison. My mom was preparing a rotisery chicken for dinner, and I watched her pull it apart. The veins were haning and blood was on it. I flipped. I didn't stop crying for that poor chicken for nearly two days straight, and I haven't touched meat since! Of course, I have gotten much stronger in my beliefs and arguments from research, which I do on my spare time ;)

    6. Of course! I would choose no other way of life. ^_^

  6. 1. I am veg, wanting to become vegan eventually.

    5. Excuse the pun but I went “cold turkey” – I just gave up meat. I also gave up cheese like this too. Also saw some horrible films that held me to see the error of my ways.

However, I occasionally.......fall off the wagon.......much to my dismay.

(i.e.) on Friday night I had a chicken curry. I felt guilty about it and it gave me stomach cramps, so I have regretted it ever since.

Its like giving up smoking. I still occasionally crave meat but every time I give into the crave I regret it. It makes me ill, I feel guilty and it never tastes that good anyway.
