What is the best other antibiotic to use, It seems Biaxin tablets help with pneumonia all the way down to infections caused by bacteria.

So my question is what other antibiotics are good for the common cold.

There are no antibiotics which are effective against the common cold. The common cold is a virus. But sometimes doctors give antibiotics to patients with the common cold, when there is superinfection with bacteria. The common cold virus will not be eliminated by such antibiotics.

But when there is a bacterial superinfection and if you are allergicto the antibiotic given , then there are many antibiotics to choose from as a substitute.
