If your architect were undergoing gender reassignment?

If you were to learn that the architect you were in negotiations with on a $30 million building was undergoing both hormone replacement therapy as well as pshycological evaluations in preperation for gender altering surgery... would you continue with this person or... ?

Yes I am sure you will get the best results ever from this person. There is so much at stake here for the person in what ever state of transition they may be in. I know with myself during transformation I performed some of my very best work during that time and ever since. Being able to finally be the same person you are on the outside as you are on the inside is such a blessing that as far as work and the quality of it shines even brighter than ever before; especially in this type of trade. I not only know this from personal experience but have also observed this to be true in many other cases. More successful after gender reassignment over ten observations less productive or lower quality work 0.

Yes.  This person is probably the best person to have as an architect , as she would be meticulous in every detail  to insure that the tools and  inventory used to achieve the final goal were of the best standards to guarantee the final end result.  She is going through the same thing in her life, trying to "build" herself.  She is taking all the right steps to make sure that her end result will be right.

No matter which gender the person is going to, the place should have plenty of restrooms!

If the builder or whomever was having problems with this person's personal life, then that person probably has bigger issues than the trans-gender does.  If you have problems, focus it or blame it on others...that's the human way!

Are you polling because your in this position? In any case I don't see how one thing has anything to do with the other. The only issue may be this. Are the drugs going to cloud  the decision making process? Other than that the building should come out looking unique. It would have a masculine and feminine touch. The perfect match.

Do you choose to work/not work with someone because of their s*x?

Think of how many transgendered people are out there. My best friend in the whole wide world is a male to female transgendered woman. And I think it is never an issue for her because nobody can ever tell. (She is a knock out! And looks better in my opinion than most genetic girls.) She is just "blessed" in some ways and is passable to the point of no detection. BUT, I will say this too... She is the most determined woman on the planet. I am truely convinced. And she is where she is today because of her hard work and commitment to herself.

I believe (100%) that trans people (speaking of many as a whole) are among the strongest individuals in todays society. Most of us couldn't have the slightest idea of what'd it'd be like to expirience 1/2 of what they do. (Not to mention being able to get through it.)

Now there are "bad apples" in every "group". But do you really feel this person can do the job? I would be willing to bet they are quite qualified since you were already in the makings of a deal before you knew.

Right? You might just be giving it too much thought.

if the individual was good at what he or she did in their profession it would not matter to me. business is business. also i would like to reprise texasr's question. why is this question caterogized under agriculture?

Sure, just because he or she is becomming a he or a she is no biggy. Shouldn't let it spoil a building business deal. Not like your going to get serious with the person. Just a business associate.
