  1. Nope.

There will not be coverage for the accident.

The coverage stopped at 12:01.  It did not start back up until you paid the policy and reinstated it (as long as the check you used to reinstate the policy did not bounce).

Otherwise -every one would drive around with out insurance and go reinstate it after an accident to get coverage.

  2. no.  you can't buy insurance to cover an accident you already had.

  3. No, you had a lapse of coverage. However, since it was within 30 days, sometime claims will allow you to pay the premium that you missed, and they will go back and cover the accident. But that normally only happens for very good customers.

  4. No, because at the time of the accident you were not covered.

  5. If your insurance was cancelled, then you were not covered at the time of the accident, even if you reinstated it at a later date.  Sorry, you're SOL on this one.

  6. If it was canceled, you cannot re-instate it simply by now paying the premium.  If it lapsed for non payment it can be re-instated within a certain time frame determined by state laws and the insurance company.  But, I doubt that they would cover for an accident that occurred during the "lapse" period.  If you are a good customer they MAY cover you though.  Poster Damons Mommy is absolutley correct
