If your awarded a pell grant amount for 1 semester, do you get a refund or does it roll over into the next?

I was awarded a little over two grand for a pell grant for the summer semester at my school. But my tuition for the summer is only half of that. Do i get a refund for the summer semester or does it rollover onto the next semester?

*my school does refunds for each semester

between student loans and pell I have been getting refunds every semester. I hate to say it but I have not been putting the funds up to pay off student debt but have been wasting it. I recommend contacting your finacial aid counselor for future disbursment questions.
