If your child goes to a daycare does it permit cloth diapers?

it depends on the daycare -

the consensus these days is that disposable is more sanitary - which is total bs -

when used properly cloth is just as well - you use a 'wetbag'

and as usual there are conflicting studies statistics on each -

what is the difference between dropping a disposable in the trash

and putting a cloth in a little bag, then placing in a larger bag (wetbag)???

AND if you read the 'instructions' on disposables it says to shake off waste in toilet...........SO what does that tell you?

We researched many day homes when I returned to work 4 months ago. All the day homes we interviewed were happy to let us continue using our cloth diapers. Perhaps some day cares have a different opinion on them.

I've never had a baby in daycare but from what I understand, every daycare center is different.  Some allow cloth, but some require that you use All In One cloth diapers.

lol, erm...I don't think so. I mean the child does need A diaper, but I don't think they require a specific type of diaper. The daycare would tell you in advance if you need to provide the kid with a certain kind of diaper.

No they dont. My two kids used disposable but had to switch to cloth when they entered day care. I think the reason is cleanliness, they dont have the means to dispose of the cloth diapers (no especial pale for every kid who wears cloth)-ours are from a diaper service so we have a big pale where we put the dirty diapers and they are collected weekly-and secondly because a child in cloth needs to be changed much more often than in disposable.

Anyhow the answer is no. Sorry I rambled quite a bit!

i worked in a bright horizons daycare in ct and i had a little boy with cloth diapers and velcro plastic covers... i would imagine it varies from one daycare to the next though.....and he drank breast milk so we went through ALOT of diapers....just put them in a plastic bag and sent them home every night
