  1. no way, I would never give up hope, I believe in miracles

  2. That's how I feel too. I don't know how easy it would be when talking about my own child, but that's how I feel about myself. I'd want my family to just let nature take it's course.

God has a plan and I am sure that it can not be for someone to lay on a bed being kept alive only because of man-made technology.

  3. I think in order to truthfully answer this question the person would need to be going through this.  I am not sure what I would do until I was put in this situation.

  4. I'd probably wait a while and see if there is a chance. I wouldn't  take it off right away.

  5. I would hope that I could let him move on.  I cant ever imagine having to be in that position but I have always told my husband to let me go if it happens to me.  I think it is selfish to hold on to the body when the soul is begging to rest.  I hope that if god forbid the time ever comes I can trust fate not machines.

  6. i agree with your mom, but really try not to think of that sort of things. i would want someone to pull the plug on me to.

  7. well no because its not selfish i would want you to get better but in a month or so yeah but i feel bad just saying that!!!

  8. Depends

  9. Not to be selfish or anything, but no.

  10. My parents say basically the same thing, let me or my brother go for a week to a month and then let go. I even told my mom "You know, you could keep me around for a bit, but if I was meant to be here, then I wouldn't be on life support." and she said the same thing to us, let her go for just a bit of time and then pull it, she said she didn't want to take the hospital bed of someone who needed it more than she did.

  11. I would thet them stay on it maybe another week just to be sure they don't wake up. If if they don't wake up in a week I'd let them go.

  12. it depends on what the kid would want

but eventually you probably would have to let them go

  13. Only if there was No signs of him/her coming back. Then yes. But I'll at least wait a month just to make sure.

  14. No!

I believe in little miracles. MAybe my child could be saved, right before they let him or her go.

I would wait for a couple months or so.

  15. Aww, this is sad. It's like the episode of House.. : (

  16. my mom took my baby sister off of life support back in 95. my moms uterus ruptured before my sis was born, and she went for awhile without oxygen. if my mom wouldnt have taken her off of it, she would have been mentally retarded, and she would have never walked, my mom made the decision because she didnt want to subject my sister to that, she didnt want her to go through all of that.

  17. I've told my mom to let me go, I also told her to not make any radical life preserving chances if i would for sure end up brain damaged, dramatically.

  18. if there was a possibility that they would come out of it then i would prob wait. if there wasnt really hope, then i would let them go. it would be better to send them to be with their king then keep them living only because of machines. i would hope my parents would do the same for me.

  19. it all depends on the prognosis

  20. i feel the exact same way

  21. I could NEVER let my babies go, but that is just me. I do believe in miracles. There have been people in comas and life support for a very long time. That the doctors say there is no hope for, but end up waking up.

  22. i wouldnt let them go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. yes it would be selfish to make you stay in pain to make me happy

  24. I don't know what they'd do.

I'd kinda hope they keep me around.

even if i'm in a hospital bed

  25. i told my mom if i was ever like that to let me go. i don't want to be laying a bed for the rest of life not being able to do anything.
