  1. The PS3 should be able to pick up the same signals, but this isn't guaranteed because the location of the PS3 in relation to the PC could put the PS3 out of range, or just in lousy spot where signals are hard to pick up,

  2. Saber is correct. Your PS3 should pick up the same signals as your PC. The location of the PS3 as it pertains to your router may be causing you difficulties i.e. up/downstairs, in another room, etc.

  3. First, which model do you have? Because they all have wi-fi except for the 20GB ps3. The 40GB, 60GB, & 80GB have wi-fi built in.

Once you have established that and your ps3 falls in the latter then your ps3 needs to be in range of the wirless router. Newer ones will have better range and reception than older ones.

So, the capability is the same as your computer. The ps3's wi-fi operates with the B and G standards as most computers and routers do.

So, if you need to set up a wireless network connection go to "Network Settings" in the XMB and follow the prompts. If you have any questions let me know.

  4. yh it should be very weak and will keep cutting off

i think you should just but a long lead to plug in, on the back

it  will be stronger and won't cut off in the middle of aan online game!!
