  1. not sure about ticks.. but fleas can bite you..

ticks sit on the dog and like suck their blood and put poison into them and once they are full drop off..

dont think it can bite you

  2. Oh yes.

Take them off the dog and flush them down the toilet.  If you crush them the saliva (which is what carries lyme disease) can transfer to you if you have a cut or anything. You can put them into a sealable bottle too, to keep them from biting anything else, but the flushing thing works best.

  3. Yes

  4. yes but if they are attached to the dog by the time they fall off or you pull them off which is what you should do the will be full. You dont feel the bite either they just latch on and start feeding. How many ticks does your dog have? be careful because if they are the white paralysis ones they will kill your dog! use a preventative tick serum you apply it to the the back of your dogs neck.

  5. the ones that have latched onto your dog cannot...

the danger is in ticks that may be loose on him.....

  6. Absolutely.

Deer ticks carry lyme disease which you can get too.

If your dog is in tick territory get him on a tick control. I use Advantix for fleas and ticks.

  7. yes but promeris works great on keeping ticks off dogs, it kills them in places where your dog likes to lay, even your bed. ticks carry all sorts of zoonotic diseases so it it best to keep them off the dog.

  8. Ticks will attach to humans.  Although usually not because the ticks like to hang out in hairier areas.  Your head is going to be the most "tick friendly" place.  Check there if you are concerned.  Ticks don't hurt when they bite or while they are sucking.  So you wont know its there unless you see it.

  9. yeah and they carry disease. you shold get front line plus.
