That is sleep apnea. It is the throat closing up while you are sleeping and you are incorporating it into your dreams. Talk to your doctor and tell him you feel like you cannot breathe when you are sleeping. He will check your heart for a murmur and if the test for that is clear he will set you up for a sleep test.

The Japanese have proven this time and again to be sleep apnea and getting the right help right away will greatly improve your life. Not getting thr right help and letting it drag out for years will put you in a downward spiral of depression, tiredness, exhaustion, and overweight.
