would you still like hockey? If you did still like it, what team would you root for and why?

but if your favorite team didnt exist, it wouldnt matter coz it wouldnt be your favorite team if there wasnt one

I'd still like hockey.... and I would be a Leafs fan because I would always watch HNIC on CBC growing up.

No, I wouldn't like Hockey anymore.

Just look @ the Hartford Whalers.  I still haven't find a team to root for since they left.  It's all just hope that some day, they will come back.

That's a good question. I suppose if the Flyers hadn't been on their way to Stanley Cup #1 I would have stayed with baseball and football and never had my interest sparked by hockey.

And my favorite team probably would have been the Devils but that's if I ever got into hockey.

To be honest I don't know. Thats a good Question. I started liking hockey because I went to a Red Wings game. But I'm sure One way or another I would've Liked the sport. What team would i root for...Hmm...Probably the San Jose Sharks. I've always liked the team, Idk why. And the Jersey's are pretty cool lol. They have a good organization. Very smart group

If Pittsburgh or Montreal (second favorite team) did not exist I would become a....

a) Buffalo Sabres Fan - I like their team & #61!

b) Nashville Predators Fan - they need them & I like Tootoo

c) Red Wings Fan - They have nice fans & I like their team

d) New York Islanders Fan - I like their team & Satan

If The Detroit Red Wings Didn't Exist I would root for Suprisingly the Pittsburgh Penguins Cause They Are A Really Great Team and They Have Sidney Crosby! :D

Yes, I would still like hockey.... in fact, long, long ago, I used to be an Avalanche and Penguins fan before the Hurricanes came to light... they didn't show them on TV for a while, you know, and I don't live near Raleigh, so I'll be honest - at first I didn't even know they were up there! (Does that make me an awful Caniac?) :(

I would still love hockey and I would follow the Bruins.Always was a fan of Raymond Bourque and Cam Neely.I always thought Andy Moog was an underrated goalie.

i would still love hockey if my team didn't exist.

i don't like hockey for my team, i like it for the speed, grace, skill, and pace of the game.

there's no other game like it in the world.

I would probably cheer for the Nashville Predators. They have overcome so much this year and have come together as a team to compensate for some of their players that have left.

if they had some of the strong talent that other teams have, they would be unstoppable.

they play with more heart than anybody i've ever seen.

No unfortunately i probably wouldnt be a fan of the nhl because when i first started watching the nhl i was flipping channels on tv and came across the stanley cup finals for the hurricanes and thats when i fell in love. But i use to watch the local team often.

I would still like hockey. Growing up here in South Florida we had no team of our own. Now we do. The Panthers  If they weren't here and the Wings weren't here to root for I May become a Tampa bay fan. They would be the next closest team to me. I could at least make a trip of it and catch a game here and there

I'm a fan of the sport more so then the team.

Yes,the Rangers are my favorite team and I love them very dearly but that doesn't mean I would stop watching the sport if they didn't exist.I love hockey,it's pretty much the whole world to me.I like Football but that's nowhere even close to how much I like hockey.

I would probably root for the Panthers or Lightning coming that I live in Florida....I can't believe I said that I would be a fan of those teams...I usually hate those teams...

If the Montreal Canadiens didn't exist, would I be as big a hockey fan as I am now? Probably not; but I would still appreciate and enjoy the game.

I can't say who I'd be a fan of because I can't picture myself rooting for any team other than Montreal. I know I'd be a proud supporter of Canadian hockey, especially the Oilers.

If the Red Wings didn't exist, I probably would be a NASCAR fan (thank you the South).  If I did gain an interest in hockey, I would probably be a Carolina Hurricanes fan since 2006 since they are in my home state.  Everyone in North Carolina seemed to become a Cans fan since they won the Stanley Cup.

h**l yeah I would still like hockey. I would root for Montreal because they have a lot of potential with all of their young players, and I'm a big fan of Saku Koivu and Alexei Kovalev.

well when you come from somewhere like Detroit, it would be hard to concentrate on a sport like the NHL with so much going around you...  now if you said if there were No Detroit Lions id say yes id still be a nfl fan becauase its such a bigger market and sport.

Yes.  I liked hockey from the first game I saw, and gradually came to be a Wings fan.  If they suddenly folded, it would leave a terrible yawning gap in life for a while, but if we hadn't had an NHL team on the doorstep I'd probably be going to more Plymouth Whalers games, which is where it all started.

This year the Dallas Stars won me over quite a bit - I won't be able to help taking an interest in their fortunes next season.

If the Red Wings and Blue Jackets did not exist, I would become a fan of one or two of these teams.
