If your guy is the president, do you do and agree with what he says all the time every time?

It appears that many folks will go along with "their guy" more often than they will be principled on issues.

Examples:

Bill Clinton and Serbia

GWBush and the Patriot Act

Johnson and Vietnam

Bush Senior and "New World Order" bs

Clinton and warrantless violations in Ruby Ridge (Randy Weaver) and Waco

GWBush and illegal immigration

  1. I disagree with the guy I vote for quite often even when they are president.  However, even though I never voted for Bush, I've disagreed with him on every decision he has ever made because I view them to be against America's best interest.

I never voted for Clinton, but I agree with you on all the points you made above about his decisions on those matters.

I disagree with Obama about him signing the FISA bill too.  But I am voting for him because voting for McCain would be voting against my country and against my country's best economic interests.  It would be like voting for Bush again.

  2. Of course not. I don't think anybody does. I use my brain to do my own thinking and don't rely on anyone, president or no, to limit my opinions on anything.

  3. No, I have complained many times about the guy I voted for.  You bring up very good examples too.

  4. No. You can't expect that to happen. No one is perfect.

  5. No. I do not agree with anyone except myself 100 percent of the time.

  6. If you are a mindless fool, absolutely. If you actually do have a brain, then you use it.

  7. yea i understand what your saying

I'm going with mccain but im an atheist, im pro-choice and i believe g**s should get married. But there is no way i can vote for obama, i hate him!!!

  8. No. I am a moderate conservative and abstain from Koolaide of all flavors.

  9. no

  10. In a way we're not electing a man for President - we're electing a political philosophy.  We're electing the future of our country - what we'd like to see - how we think people should be treated at home and around the world.  From where we now stand there's an uncertain future spread out in front of us - and you got to choose what will come to pass.  Choose wisely.

  11. I don't agree with any of the presidents on your list, because they have all betrayed their oath to the Constitution.  Every one of them has approved of unconstitutional laws and actions that have been detrimental to our freedom.

Until we force our politicians to follow the law (the Constitution), they will continue to enslave and plunder us.

  12. Politicians say most anything during their campaign to get elected, we all know that.  Of course people are going to be somewhat disappointed if their candidate wins.

  13. Negative to all of the above.

    Regards.

  14. I am not a partisan, so I have never really had a guy. Unfortunately, though, many people are that way. As a previous poster touched on, the Republicans who decried the thuggish actions of the federal government and the expansion of executive power under Clinton think the same kinds of things are fine under Bush. Same deal with many Democrats and Kosovo.

  15. Of course not, but I will always respect the office he/she holds as our President.

  16. Um, no. When it comes to who I like in politics, it's a matter of who scares me least when I picture them running our country. haha

Not so much if I agree with them 100% of the time because it's impossible for someone to think the exact way I do.
