If your horoscope told you to do something bad, would you do it?

Just wondering how far into the realm of religion astrology goes. Would you do something bad, because your horoscope told you to? Like say, sacrifice your firstborn with some blunt force trauma? And if not, how can you call yourself a believer in astrology? :)

um no. i don't believe in horoscopes, but i do believe in astrology. i do something bad when i feel like it. i control myself, nothing else. and astrology isn't my religion. it's just a belief and for fun. its something i find interesting. it helps me see why i have bad traits or the way i speak. or it can tell me why i have a certain style. but astrology shouldn't tell me what to do.

The nature of real astrology would not allow for such a request to be made.

Please be clear in your understanding - horoscopes are not the same as astrology. That's like saying some crazy cult's understanding of science is the same as true science. It is based off of it, but it is not representative of it. If someone made a horoscope that told you to kill your baby, not only would it not have anything to do with astrology, the person that followed through with it would be unstable at best and would have demonstrated that they do not believe in true astrology anyway.

Astrology does not tell you what to do. It offers insights into the forces at work in your life.

So, obviously, your question is a stupid one.

Since I make my own choices that will not happen. Is not the purpose of the horoscope to "predict" rather tell you what to do? Not that it can, but it is really fortune telling. It may say I'll come into some money, not to go rob a bank to get it. Compatibility is the main reason people are here.

You don't even know the difference between horoscopes and astrology. I do not believe in either. There is no need for belief. Do you believe in the weather report?

No I wouldn't, I doubt very much that our horoscopes would ask us to do something bad.  It would be called the horrorscopes instead...lol
