Question:

If your in the military, how does your family get paid??...easy points?

Ok so say you have a wife and kids, and you get sent to Iraq, and the wife is a stay at home mom, does the military give the family money, or does the father have to send money everytime he gets paid...i was just simply curious.

  1. All pay done by the army is done by direct deposit. It will go straight into the designated account just as if he was still stateside. I would assume that the soldier and his/her family back home would have access to the money.  


  2. The money will be direct deposited into a bank.  

    If the bank is a "Joint" account, no issues at all.

    If you have separate accounts, you will need to make sure he includes it in his "Power of Attorney".  


  3. all military personnel are paid via direct deposit.  It is up the the sponsor to ensure his spouse has access to enough funds to live on.

  4. Its called direct deposit..Your money gets sent into your bank account every pay day..Now whether you have access to that money or not will depend on your husband..

    Allotments can also be set up to send you money every month..
