Isn't there something called Cobra that gives or helps with extended benefits? you ought to research your previous insurance or call a rep up and ask them if you have Cobra. It's pretty common to have it for a couple of months after you leave a job for whatever reason. I really don't know how it is in Michigan as I'm in Washington state, although I suspect if you have children who live with you and have a low income like here $800.00 a month, you automatically will qualify. Call your DSHS (Department of Social and Health Services) in Michigan & ask them! This seems to me like a question that'd best get clearly answered by directly contacting both sources! Good luck!
