  1. I know my parents would say Harvard.

I am expected to go to Yale, Dartmouth, Princeton, or Oxford (I am a British citizen, too) and then to Harvard Law. They wouldn't want me to go to NYU or a state university....

  2. Havard or NYU. Not a state U, unless it's a good one like UVA, U Michigan Ann Arbor, or U Wisconsin Madison.

  3. State University. It doesn't matter what school you go to. It's the degree that counts.

  4. Full scholarship to State University.

  5. Harvard or NYU. going to a state university may not be bad to. u can spent 2 years there and if u somehow accumulate enough money u can transfer to a ivy league (harvard) or private (NYU). As u know harvard has been a very prestigist school throughout the years and NYU have always been one as well.

  6. For undergrad?  NYU or State U if he/she's planning on grad school.  It's the grad school that counts, not the undergrad.

If there are no grad school plans, go with Harvard or NYU in that order.

  7. If the money was there, Harvard hands down. It will pay for itself many times over.

  8. Harvard, no hesitation. I would do /anything/ to help my kids with a great education, my husband and I have worked tirelessly to help them all we can, and with such an amazing reward I would sell my soul to help them this far and in their lives. No amount of money or debt could ever stop me from sending them to such an amazing university - best in the world, right? Hands down, it'd have to be Harvard.

The person above me hit the nail right on the head - it's more than worth it. It's even profitable!

We've been saving up for university, keeping funds aside for them when they hit 18, but we could sort out money problems fine. I value my kids more than money, so we'd find a way to sort it.
