  1. Why then have I not lived basically and brought up in the third world myself. Do I not remember the nights free from light pollution and mornings fresh?  Simple uncomplicated life, doing my homework in the light of kerosene lamp, instead of buildings trees, and instead of road jammed packed with cars belching toxic fumes, trains of horses, and sheep. The natural produce vegetables and seasonal ripening of mulberry, mango and jamboline trees.

I can remember, but still I can also imagine. I imagine taking few good books with me, as I am assured that third world people might be known to westerners as people much poor and lacking in things, but there could be more to had, in terms of simplicity, kindness and compassion, if you give there a chance.

  2. I would say a book. One of the classic one that I love and no matter how many times I read them I still love them. To kill a mockingbird, a tale of two cities or the great gatsby.

But thinking more practically, possible my pashmina type scarf. It has the emotional value as it was a present, it's very nice and it would keep me much more warm at night if I wrapped it round myself than a book could. As much as I do adore reading.

  3. A machete.

It is the most basic tool, which can be used for just about everything........ including making fire.

  4. my man so could have s*x lol

  5. My bank account!

  6. As large a piece of canvas as I could possibly manage with a central hole in it to collect water. Chances are that sticks of some sort, baboo or other, would not be a problem to find, making it possible to turn the arrangement into a makeshift tent too.

  7. I would definitely have to take my flute.  It is a great passion, and I could use it to share my music with other people.  Music can motivate and inspire people and I would hope to make a difference in someone's life!
