If you were in a position where your manager would ask you to perform a task which you disagreed with, how would you deal with the situation?

Depends, just say I was a waiter/waitress and my boss asked me to cook some food - you will actually need to be paid in accordance!

If it is part of your job then there is nothing you can do and you would have to follow instruction. (Unless of course it illegal)
