...or had a child (you) with someone else, who would you be? Half you and half someone else? Or would you still be the same person, staring out through different-colored eyes?

you would be someone completely different because you would carry traits from a different father and once you enter that equation you must be an emtirely different individual. granted you may have some of the same characteristics you have now, but would be a different person.

You cuold never ever be you mixed with another man's sperm.

The combination of your mother and father is the only you that you could ever be.

If you were identical twins you would each be seperate personss. with idnetial gegetics. Each different choice you make can cause some shanges in one or both of the twins.

You would be the same person, even if your father too was a different one. Of course, your features and physical make-up would be different in either case, more so in the second, but your mind you bring with you from your previous life, the parents only providing the house that fits you best.

With identical twins, the similarity would be that both of them needed the experience from the same parents and environment, but in charachter, aptitudes and disposition they will be different since they are two distinct minds. They differ vastly in charachter, as do 'normal' brothers and sisters, despite that their bodies are formed from the same two sets of genes.  If we are our bodies only, even brothers and sisters, let alone identical twins, would be identical in charachter.

I might possibly be a b*****d then.  Because for me to exist at all without the genes of my 2 parents, is impossible.  Which would mean that mother cheated on my would be father, making me, a b*****d.

I would be first to think I would be a different person, but then as I think about it more maybe not. I feel as though your parents are the first who influence you in life, who shape the person you are with their feelings and actions towards you and the rules and events that happen throughout your life with them.

But I feel I may even be the same person because I don't look much like either of my parents, my intrests and feelings are opposite to them, and i'm much of a free-er spirit than them. Sometimes I don't even feel related to them, even though I know for sure they are my parents. I think eveyrone is their own person, and they choose who they want to be eventually.
