  1. What a random conclusion to reach.

My mother played with poisonous snakes when she was pregnant with me, it didn't make me more prone to eating small varmint. Jeez....

  2. Sad, but what if everyone is born with the chance to use all pyschic abilities, just as Jesus said... but never learns how to use them? Were you born knowing how to ride a bike? You were born knowing how to swim, but did you forget as many do? perhaps this is what someone ment when she said she does not see how the two can be connected... now had you said something to the effect of talking with the child, because I knpw this can be done...

    ME!

  3. I don't know if that would be the case. Maybe if your parents was dabbling with that then it means their minds are more open to the paranormal perhaps that could be more important than playing with an Ouija board. If they are inviting spirits good or bad into their home the they might be able to interact with the unborn child. I know my parents believed in the paranormal my Dad more so, but they definitely both was into it. They Wed on Oct 31. I know that in it's self don't mean nothing but it shows their mind set. My brother passed away 1 month before I was born. I feel it is him who has been showing me all these years. My Dad was psychic/Medium. I used to think it all revolved around him. yet I have had and continue to have loads of paranormal experiences around me too. I do not claim to be a psychic/medium. Yet I know for a fact it is real and you really do need to be careful as my Dad invited some mischievous spirits in our old home. They used to bang on the walls move things. you could feel them in your room at night. Pretty scary stuff. But like bullies they feed on negative energy. Don't be frightened of them. If you ever feel one is near say a prayer ask for protection and all should be well. Be careful what you wish for...Hello You...Yeah You...

  4. While I was still on the inside and can't swear to it.I'm sure my mother did.She did Ouija, tarot, automatic writing you name it she did it.We had all that stuff in our house.I can safely say no psychic powers were passed on.I did get a gift from all her superstitious nonsense.I am blessed with a finely tuned sense of BS.I saw how silly it was when I was very young.

  5. well i dont know but it is interesting. i am willing to try it. i am 20 weeks pregnant and will try it and when the baby is born give you a update!

  6. I don't think that would make the unborn child psychic...

I think everyone has psychic abilities, but some choose not to tap in to them.

  7. Anything is possible

  8. I think the strongest psychic abilities are inherited, regardless of any rituals that are performed.

If the person using the board was psychic to begin with and got a response from beyond,  just getting information wouldn't make the child psychic but just by the mother being psychic the child could inherit abilities.

People who use Ouija don't know why they do (I believe that they are guided to use them from beyond because of channeling ability they may have and are not aware of.

    Example of psychic inheritance:

My wife's great grandmother is a healer and still alive at 101, my wife has abilities, I have some latent ability passed on from my mother - and our kids have gifts ( my son who is 13 never afraid of the dark all of a sudden needs lights on - I think he's getting the ability but won't talk about it) My oldest daughter has seen spirits - I'm waiting for my youngest of three to tell me she sees things (actually I think her cousin came to visit from beyond she looks at her picture and say's "that's my friend Sara")

  9. Ouija boards work through the ideomotor effect.  When they "work" you aren't speaking with a spirit, you are unconsciously moving the planchette.  So using the Ouija board will not give a child any sort of imaginary ability like ESP.  To assert otherwise is nothing but folly.

  10. yes

  11. Of course it could just like if you play the piano when pregnant your child will grow up to be the best musician since Mozart since this is how abilities work they don't require practice or anything after birth.

For example the beliefs of the mother will have no effects upon the belief of the child or what the child pursues or learns it will all be determined by her actions before the baby is born.

Yes, the mighty Ouija board will take all the psychic abilities away from the mother and transfer them to the baby because people only acquire their abilities (psychic, athletic, mental, and all other talents) from the mighty Ouija board.

Of course there is no evidence to support any of the above beliefs but if you need something to explain a normal human ability (ESP and other psychic abilities) that science simply can not yet fully explain then feel to use the above explanation.

    Psi

  12. I think that if the mother played with the Ouija board...and it worked...then that means that there must have been spirits/ghosts etc. around and that the mother was into the paranormal herself. I think being psychic means that spirits are communing with you...So, if there were spirits etc. around...they would be trying to talk to the daughter too. I don't know why these abilities are passed down in families. I don't think it has anything to do with genetics. If the mother WANTED  the daughter to be psychic..then there's a chance she will be. I don't know if the real Allyson in Medium has children who are psychic like the one in the tv show..but  if she does and if they are..then  there must be something to it. I suspect that my mother was into some things. I remember her checking a horoscope and some other things. I do believe there was a spirit (s) in our house.

P.S. I think Psi has been eating too many burritos lately! lol

Edit..Like helleva said about his brother...I had a sister who was still born..way before I was born. I used to wonder if it was her sending the messages. When I was into Automatic Writing (sorry) ..one said that it was her sending me one message in the A.W. ..but I'm not at all sure it was her.(I do realize you can be easily deceived by automatic writing.)

  13. that would be something, never has happned in our family.

  14. Um, no. Well, maybe, but I don't think so.

  15. yes she may have connected with her own spirit guide, although they do not normally retort to ouija boards... they are above that. and thats really cool that happened, but i promise you it hasnothing to do with the baby... and the baby has no more chance of psychic abilities than anyone else. your mum merely connected with a good soul who was nice enough to tell her some things about the baby she was about to have... i know you may be disappointed, but its the truth. tell your mother that if she doenst know wha she is doing, using oija boards is a very bad idea... i can be dangerous at worse. it will invite lower entities to you and your home and cause fear, upset..... anything. best use your own god-given natural abilities.

being psychic does not have anything to do with spirits. she is just open. being psychic is being like, clairvoyant.... you see/sense past and future events... that kind of thing. all it requires for someones ouija board attempt to be successful is enough of the right energy. thats all.

  16. Thank goodness we have ultrasound now, which provides all that information (except the name).

Unless your mother was summoning demons or spirits which possessed the unborn child, then I do not see how it would relate to psychic abilities.

A ouija board is a device for summoning and communicating with spirits. The concept of ouija is that it is easy to communicate with spirits, especially if you have no psychic powers.

Summoning spirits does not give one psychic powers. The only way that psychic powers could be granted by merely summoning spirits is to allow those spirits to possess you. Possession is a nasty thing.

If you have psychic abilities, then you should perform an unbias test to prove they exist. A statistically sound and unbias test will rule out coincidences, intelligent guesses, and self-deception.

If you don't test yourself, then you can only claim that you MAY have psychic powers, no matter how convincing they are.

  17. No I don't really see how the two could possibly be related.

  18. I'm sure, there is a chance... as in any birth...

I believe your psychic abilities come within yourself. You  teach yourself and hone your abilities through trial and error.

I don't think a Ouija board would teach that in-utero. It in my opinion it is not the same as music or reading because they are not being exposed on what to appreciate. They are hearing open ended one sided questions and info.
