  1. If you are right handed, then CLEARLY your lead hand is your LEFT JAB.  Period. . . no further explanation required.  Anyone who says righties should lead with their right have been watching too many replays of the Rumble in the Jungle!  (I only mention that because Ali bewildered Foreman with right hand leads all night, which is the EXCEPTION to the rule. . . .as well as a big-old dose of Rope a Dope)

  2. In 99% of the cases, a right-handed fighter will lead with the left hand. Winky Wright is actually right-handed, but he fights as a southpaw, leading with his right hand. That is very rare.

  3. Your RIGHT

  4. your left hand would usually be the lead hand as it is your jabbing hand although this does not mean you cannot lead with a right cross at times

  5. If you are right-handed (orthodox), then you would lead with your left hand and your left foot in front of you.  The left hand is the jabbing hand that sets up the power punches from your strong hand- the right one.  You can also throw hooks, and uppercuts with the left, but it is mostly used for jabbing.

  6. In a conventional stance, the lead hand for a righty is the left.  Vice versa for southpaws.  From time to time, righties will fight southpaw and vice versa.  I heard that Oscar De La Hoya is a lefty fighting conventional righty.
