  1. No is does not. You need to run much longer than 10 minutes to build stamina.

    What you are doing with sprinting is working on your anaerobic energy system.

    This will build your tolerance for lactic acid, which is going to make it impossible for you to sprint for 10 minutes, most people can only sprint for something less than 1 minute.

    There is what is called stress endurance which is used for long sprinters, the ones that run the 400 meters.

    It is not the same as cardiovascular endurance which is what most people mean when they talk about stamina.


  2. well yeah, but good luck sprinting the full 10 minutes!! it'd be a lot easier if you just jogged/ran for about 20 minutes, then did a few sprints

  4. sprinting for 10 mins sure would.  thats pretty tough.    you do realize that a 60 secound sprint is long time right.
