Question:

If your swing still results in a straight shot?

I have been playing for about a year and I know when I hit the ball it does go straight with decent distance. Problem is, I don't have your prototypical swing, I usually wind up on my back foot, I know this is a no no, but the results are good. What is a drill to make my weight to be on my front foot after the swing?

  1. Put a golf ball under your toes on your right foot and swing like normal, then try it again with it under your heel....Ive heard of this making you keep your weight to the left

  2. There are thousands of different swings. The key is to find one that's repeatable for you. And it sounds like you have. I wouldn't mess with it if its straight and long.

  3. If you are hitting the ball straight, and you have a reverse pivot leave well enough alone and live with the straight shot. The fault comes from not shifting the weight to the forward foot during the start of the downswing.

  4. OK, you're hitting it straight and want to make a change?!  Thats rediculous!  Many unorthodox swings have been quite successful.

  5. OK an unorthodox swing is OK but if you want to help get your weight to your front foot at the end of your swing there is a device called a seesaw board f you don't swing correct it will make you loss your balance.
