If your team loses in the playoffs, who do you root for next series?

No talking about the finals. Do you root for the team that beat your team, so that you can have an excuse? (Ex. Me, for every single year since '02 that the Wings have gotten knocked out, I've been able to use the excuse that "3 teams that beat Detroit went to the SCF, and took it to 7, and 1 won it all)

Or, do you hate the team that beat yours so much, that you want them to get embarrassed in the next round.

i hate the team that beat mine

this year it was the pens (i like the rangers) so i hate them

but this year is different because the redwings are actually my second favorite team so i root extra hard against the penguins

well my favorite team is the sharks & when they went out i was rooting for the red wings even tho i dont like them either but i hate the stars more cuz they are rivals with the sharks & they beat my team. & now that the red wings are playing my other favorite team im rooting for the penguins.

As a general rule, I will want the team who defeated my team to go all the way.  However, there are certain teams that I absolutely despise.  If one of those teams is the culprit, I want them to go down in the next round.

the latter that is how I was last year when the Pens lost to the Senators. I wanted them to lose because we lost to them.

yeah i pretty much hate the dallas stars with a passion now....ducks should have atleast met up in the western con final....every since they got knocked off ive cheered detroit on to beat thier way to dallas and take them out! could you imagine a team from texas in the final? ugh

usually i would root for the team that beat my fav. team but the last two years i haven't. last year i refused to root for Buffalo when they beat the ranges and this year i also refused to root for the pens.i hate them so much. since the rangers have been out i have wanted Detroit to win.

well i have 2 team and this year it was good cause they both made it and 1 made it past the other.  (caps and stars) I also have teams that i would root for if my teams lose.(flames, ducks and i'd have to see about the east.)  If there really isnt teams that i like like this final then i go for the 1 that i hate the least which would be the wings in this case becuse i cant stand crosby getting a cup before ovie and the caps

I want the team that beat mine to win (usually) I am a Devils fan when they lost to the Rangers i wanted the Rangers to get embarrased. But normaly i want the team who beat mine to win it all so i can say Devils got knocked out by the team that won the cup.

after my beloved Canadiens were ko'd, I rooted for the Stars in part because I go to school in Texas, in part because I was a North Stars fan in the day. After they too were ko'd I decided to root for the Penguins because Gonchar (on answers) is a good friend of mine. I hope she hasn't given up hope because anything is possible. Pittsburgh didn't make it all the way to the SC Finals by accident.

After Colorado lost I rooted for the Pens to win, because I HATE the Red Wings.
