My husband bought our 11 year old son new boots, he out grew the others. Good boots on an end of the season clearance. The box say's size medium, the boots don't state the size so we can't compare. They seem huge, can't see his toes and seem to fit my husbands big size 11 foot. My son is a size 5 1/2 in shoes. I'm wondering if the boots are to big can they be dangerous? Haven't tried them in the water yet, but on land he doesn't slip out of them. Any advice would be appreciated. He's been boarding for years, and can do some jumps, but no tricks yet. He tries hard and takes some good spills.

Thanks from concerned mom

  1. it will only affect him when he start to get big air and land. control comes from the boot fit, though you do want to make sure they are loose enough to come off on a hard crash..... when the sport first emerged the bindings were nothing more than a strap around the heel and one over the middle of the foot. he should be fine and those feet will grow fast.
