I hope so!  But, this is up to the court and just like DUI's the court is far to lenient on this in my opinion.

That i don't think so, it depends on the state laws, they very in each state.However i know in Michigan you do get a hefty fine and plus court costs.After a couple of times you can be arrested, and have to contribute to paying a drivers responsibility fee, a friend of mine kept getting caught and had over 5,000 in fines,court costs.Defently doesnt sound worth it.
