“People jumped the gun. I said we have too many captains and leaders in our team. Morgan Gould was sitting in the audience. I made an example and I said we have got a leader sitting right here in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Morgan-Gould-c26803.”
The manager also clarified the word ‘leader’ he used for the defender, explaining that the player tends to set an example for the rest of his team-mates by scoring goals on crucial moments, and reiterated that he has got no plans of stripping Pienaar from
the post of captaincy.
However, he revealed that he will carry out a meeting with the Evertonian player to get his say on the matter, and was hopeful that he will be able to reach to a right decision.
“We not going to say Pienaar (Steven) is not the captain. I am going to sit down with Steven to find out how he feels about being the captain. Maybe he doesn't want to be the captain.”
