Cisse left Stadio Olimpico Rome to join the Premier League side on a two and a half year deal for 5 million Euros. The striker joined Lazio in the summer transfer window from Panathinaikos, but failed to adjust to the conditions
in Rome. The 30-year-old managed to score only five goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for the capital club.
Tare admitted that he is disappointed to see Cisse leaving the club, as he is a great player and a true team man. He revealed that the striker had issues with the technicality of the game in Serie A at the time of joining the club.
The former Lazio player revealed Cisse was excited with the offer from QPR and wanted to join them as the English conditions suit his game.
The 38-year-old believes that despite struggling to find the back of the net at Lazio, the Frenchman contributed a lot on the pitch and grabbed eight assists during his almost six month stay at the club.
Tare revealed that the decision to offload Cisse was made in a hope of getting successful in signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Keisuke-Honda-c20516 from CSKA, but unfortunately a move for the Japanese could not go through.
While talking to the reporters, Igli Tare said,
“There is nothing in this. The offers made for Honda and Nilmar were well above the amount received for Cisse. I am disappointed by Cisse. We also talked at the start of the season and discussed the difficulties of Italian football.
One of the reasons he wanted to go was the fact that he could find space elsewhere that he could not find in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.”
“He has proven to be a great player, however, because even though he didn’t score, he provided eight assists. It was a decision supported by all parties, but it was his request to leave.”
The Biancocelesti failed with bids to sign Honda and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nilmar-c28044 on the deadline day of January transfer window.
